Mission Beach Location
Mission Beach is almost half way between Townsville and Cairns in tropical North Queensland - just 1.5 hours easy drive south of Cairns and 2.5 hours north of Townsville. Both cities have airports and are linked by the main north south rail line as well as Highway 1 which passes a mere 25kms to the west of Mission Beach. Connecting coaches run from Cairns into Mission Beach three times a day. Alternatively, you can take a scheduled flight into Dunk Island with water taxi transfers to Mission Beach.
